2 & 3-Phase Separators
Efficient Separation for Optimal Processing
Each separator is carefully engineered to match fluid characteristics and operating conditions, ensuring steady operation and high separation efficiency in both horizontal and vertical configurations.
Design Considerations
- Gas-to-liquid ratio
- Density difference between gas and liquids
- Viscosity variations
- Operating temperature and pressure
- Particle size distribution
- Presence of H₂S or CO₂
- Slug volumes and flow stability
Process Description
In two-phase separators, gas exits through mist extractors while liquids settle in the accumulation section for discharge. In three-phase separators, an additional stage separates oil and water layers, allowing precise interface control.
Each separator package includes all necessary instrumentation for pressure, temperature, and level control, along with standard safety features. SPEC also provides customized add-ons such as:
- Sand jetting systems and heating coils
- Heat tracing and NACE-compliant equipment
- Wave breakers and offshore installation design compliance
All separator packages are modularized for easy transport, installation, and maintenance, making them ideal for onshore and offshore applications.
